What is the VIP?
The VIP – Vertiv Incentive Program – is an incentive program that motivates, educates and recognises resellers for their success, knowledge and sales of qualifying Vertiv products and services.
Who can sign up for the VIP?
The VIP is open to all registered Authorised and Silver Vertiv resellers in the participating countries. View all the participating countries here.
How do I register for the VIP?
It’s simple. To take part in the VIP, you must first be registered in the Vertiv Partner Portal. If you have created your account, you can either navigate from the Vertiv Partner Portal directly to the VIP, or log in to the VIP with your Vertiv Partner Portal credentials.
What should I do if I forget my password or need to reset my password?
What is the VIP MasterCard?
The VIP MasterCard is a debit card. The Bonus Points you earn are transferred as money to your MasterCard. One Bonus Point equals one GBP(1 BP = 1 GBP). You can spend the money anywhere MasterCard is accepted for payment.
How do I receive my VIP MasterCard?
You will automatically receive your credit card after registration and your first login to the VIP. Once you have received the card via post, you will need to activate it in the portal under My Account → My Credit Card.
When will I receive my credit card?
The delivery of your VIP MasterCard can take up to 6 weeks.
Where can I find my activation code?
Your activation code is on the letter that comes with your card. The code can be found underneath the card, which is attached to the letter. If you do not have this letter anymore and need an activation code, please contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do I need to pay for this VIP MasterCard?
No, this card is offered to you for free by Vertiv and you will not incur any costs for ordering it.
Is the VIP credit card required to participate in the program?
Yes, all your achievements will be rewarded with Bonus Points. The Bonus Points are transferred as money (1 Bonus Point = 1 GBP) to your VIP MasterCard. If you do not have an activated credit card, then you cannot transfer your Bonus Points.
Is a personal identification number (PIN) issued with my credit card?
You can find the PIN for your card on the Credit Card page in the VIP portal after you navigate to the Credit Card tab, here you can see all your cards information. To see your PIN, click on the eye icon to reveal your secret 4-digit number. Your PIN is a randomly assigned number, you cannot choose your own PIN or change it at an ATM or online.
Please ensure you sign the back of your card for complete authorisation before you use it. For the first transaction you make using the credit card in a store you must insert the card into the machine for security reasons. After this first transaction you can use the card for contactless payments.
Please note: the VIP Credit Cards cannot be used for cash withdrawals.
Where can I use my Vertiv VIP credit card?
The VIP MasterCard can be used in all shops, online and offline, that accept MasterCard for payment.
Can I use my card abroad?
Yes, you can use your card in all countries and in any currency where MasterCard is accepted.
How long can I use the VIP credit card?
The card can be used until the expiration date stated on the card.
Can my purchases exceed my balance amount?
No, the payment will be declined.
Can I get my balance or cash out at the bank?
No, this card cannot be used at any bank distributor. Money can only be loaded onto the card by Vertiv and the VIP. The credit card cannot be used for cash withdrawal, but for payments only.
When will my Bonus Points be transferred to my credit card?
Bonus Points are transferred to your credit card after the distribution of the points by a VIP administrator on a quarterly basis. This process typically takes two to three weeks.
What should I do if I lose my VIP credit card?
If you lose your VIP MasterCard, please immediately contact support at email@example.com and provide your company name, VIP email address, and full name in order to block the card. We will then order you a new credit card with your name on it and any remaining balance can be transferred (from the block date) to the new card.
What do I do if the VIP program administrator at my company has changed and the VIP credit card has their name on it?
You should not use a credit card from your colleague if they have signed the back of the card, or if their name is on the front of the card.
You can request a new credit card by sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If possible, please ask the former administrator to deactivate the credit card in their VIP account. This can be done in the Credit Card management section of their VIP account. If this is not possible, please let us know this in your email and we can deactivate their old card.
In your email requesting a new credit card, please include the former administrators email address and their credit card number if possible, and the first and last name of the person who will be the new VIP program administrator at your company as this name will need to be printed on the front of the card. Please also include the address the new credit card should be delivered to.
Once you have received the new card, please activate it in the correct VIP account so we can transfer any remaining balance over from the old credit card (from the date of deactivation).
What does it mean if I deactivate my credit card?
In the Credit Card management section, you will see a button which will deactivate your credit card. If you confirm that you want to deactivate your credit card it will be locked and you will not be able to use it to make any transactions online or in store, and the credit card will be removed from your VIP account. After you have deactivated your card it will not be possible to activate it again.
Please only deactivate your credit card in the following scenarios:
- You have lost your credit card and it cannot be found
- You are no longer the administrator for the VIP program at your company
If there is any balance remaining on the credit card which was deactivated, the balance will be transferred (from the date of deactivation) to the new card.
How can I transfer my Bonus Points to my credit card for a specific quarter?
Choose the quarter you want to transfer Bonus Points for using the drop-down menu selector which is located on the Credit Card webpage then click on the ‘Transfer’ button. Please note, if you do not transfer your Bonus Points by the specified deadline for the quarter your points will expire and will no longer be available for transfer. The deadline is stated in the email you would have received announcing that your Bonus Points were made available for transfer.
Why do I see my Credit Card balance in EURO on the portal?
Please note, MasterCard prepaid Credit Card balances for our UK partners are shown in EUR in the portal. This amount is calculated using the exchange rate for GBP to EUR on the day the ‘Transfer to Credit Card’ button was pushed. Please take into consideration the exchange rate when you make any purchases with the card; EUR to local currency conversions will be completed as per the daily MasterCard exchange rates which can be calculated here. Please use 0% for the bank fee.
What should I do if my account is locked?
Please contact support at email@example.com to unlock your account. Please note: you need to login into the portal once every 30 days or your account will be locked.

Bonus Points and Points Matrix
What are Bonus Points?
Bonus Points are the rewards given when you buy Vertiv products through distribution. 1 Bonus Point equals 1 British Pound. 1 BP = 1 GBP.
How can I earn Bonus Points?
There are different incentive schemes available in the VIP. You will receive 1 Bonus Points per 100 GBP revenue that you have purchased from Vertiv distribution. On top of this base incentive, you can increase your amount of Bonus Points by ordering on a regular basis and ordering different product categories. Also we offer double points for specific product categories. You will find all details on the incentive page of the VIP.
How often are Bonus Points updated?
The Start Incentive, Everyday Sales Incentive, Spotlight Incentive, and Cross-Sell incentive are calculated and updated on a monthly basis in the portal. You will be able to see these grow on your Bonus Point overview on the VIP Dashboard. The Frequency Incentive can only be calculated from the second month onwards because it is based on how many months of the quarter you purchased Vertiv products. Bonus Points are updated in the VIP portal by the end of next calendar month, or at the latest by the end of the following calendar month.
Example: If you make a purchase in July, the Bonus Points will appear in the VIP portal by the end of August or at the latest by the end of September.
How are the Bonus Points calculated?
Bonus Points are calculated using the products purchased which are recorded on the Distribution POS report. The VIP then calculates the Bonus Points based on a Standard Reseller’s Retail Price (RRP) minus 25%.
What does it mean when the Bonus Points have been made available for transfer?
When the Bonus Points have been made available for the quarter, it means the final amount you can redeem has been calculated by the VIP. This may differ at times from the amount you accumulated during the quarter due to the review of all your purchases collectively.
How often are the Bonus Points available for transfer?
The Bonus Points are made available for transfer on a quarterly basis. Once the Bonus Points for the quarter have been calculated, you will receive an email announcing that they are available for transfer.
How often can I transfer Bonus Points?
Bonus Points can only be transferred once per quarter. The transfer can be made after the Bonus Points have been added to your account.
Example: Q1 Bonus Points can be transferred in Q2 after they have been made available for transfer.
Can my Bonus Points expire?
Yes, Bonus Points will expire three months after they have been made available for transfer. You can find the date when the Bonus Points expire in the email you will receive after the final Bonus Points have been calculated.
What do I do if I don’t see my Bonus Points?
If you have purchased eligible Vertiv products from an Authorized Distributor and you should have received Bonus Points, but they are not yet visible on the VIP Portal within a reasonable time frame, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Do all my purchases of Vertiv products count for Bonus Point collection?
No, only purchases through Vertiv Authorised Distribution partners participating in this program will count toward Bonus Points. A list can be found here.

How can I view my Bonus Points from a specific quarter on the VIP dashboard?
Once you are logged in to the VIP, you can conveniently switch between quarters on the dashboard to compare how you are doing against last quarter’s results. Choose the quarter you want to view using the drop-down menu selector which is located above the Bonus Points matrix at the top of the dashboard.
This is where you can also see your final Bonus Points from previous quarters, and the Bonus Points you have earned so far for the current quarter which is updated on a monthly basis.

Start Incentive 50 Bonus Points
Make your first Vertiv purchase within the next calendar month after registration of at least 100 GBP or more and you’ll be rewarded.
Everyday Sales Incentive 1% revenue
Receive points for any Vertiv product that you sell. Earn 1 Bonus Point for every 100 GBP in revenue.
Example: Sell 5,000.00 GBP worth of Vertiv products and earn 50 Bonus Points which is 1% of the total sale revenue.
Frequency Incentive X 1.2 or X 1.4
Multiply your points earned from the Everyday Sales Incentive by making Vertiv purchases more often per quarter.
Make purchases in 2 months during a quarter and earn 20% (X 1.2) more Bonus Points on those purchases.
Make purchases in 3 months during a quarter and earn 40% (X 1.4) more Bonus Points on those purchases.
Example: You make purchases in 2 months during the quarter earning you 120 Bonus Points in total. You will then earn an additional 24 Bonus Points as a reward for purchasing more frequently.
Get multiplied points when you purchase from more than one Vertiv category per quarter.
Earn 1.2x Bonus Points when you purchase from 2 categories.
Earn 1.4x Bonus Points when you purchase from 3 or more categories.
Example: You purchase products from 2 categories earning a total of 300 Bonus Points, you will earn an additional 60 Bonus Points.
Spotlight Incentive Bonus Points X 2
Earn double points when you sell an in-focus Vertiv product.
All Incentives sum-up to the total amount of Bonus Points that you then can transfer on the VIP Prepaid Credit Card.
Actual Bonus Point achievement will be shown on the dashboard.
